How to manually install these stock ROMs.
FAQ:
Q: Is flashing stock ROM safe?
A: This is a bit risky on some part if you will messed up and something went wrong.
- This is only used by advance users like for example if they installed any unofficial firmware and wanted to return back their devices to Samsung's original stock firmware.
- To completely unroot the phone if rooting was been made.
- Fix softbricks if they bricked their devices from installing wrong or unofficial firmware.
Q: Can I install another country ROM?
A: Yes! as long as your phone is unbranded or not locked in any mobile network operator, but you need to copy or back up the APN settings of your phone so that you can re-configure it again after installation made and to get rid of connectivity issues. The you need to choose an unbranded firmware also.
If your phone is locked in a carrier provider, you must also choose that branded version stock ROM.
Q: My phone is locked does this method unlock my phone?
A: NO! your phone remains unlocked even you install one of these ROM.
You'll need this for Flashing
Odin Downloader/Flasher - ODIN v.4.38
OPS File - TASS_v1.0.ops
USB Driver - Galaxy Mini Driver
Important!
- Back up all important files stored from your phone.
- Make sure the battery is fully re-charge
- Use a good working PC USB port connection and cable wire.
- Your PC or Laptop must run in Windows OSX, Odin will not work on MAC OSX.
- Remenber the APN settings of your phone if you are going to install other region stock ROM.
- Enable USB mode - Goto>Settings>Option>USB Debugging
1) Extract or unzip/unrar the downloaded firmware.
2) Turn off your Samsung Galaxy Mini. Remove your SIM Card and SD Card, (for beginners just to avoid any issues)
3) Run Odin multi-downloader v4.38 tool.
4) - Click on the OPS button then select and load the TASS.OPS file.
- Check the ONE PACKAGE checkbox. Ensure that the Auto Reboot and Protect OPS are also
checked.
- Click on the One Packaged button then select and load the firmware packaged.

Click BOOT button then select and load the bootloader file:

Click PHONE button then select and load the AMSS file:

(leave EFS and One Package empty)
( Volume Down + OK + Power )
6) Connect the phone to PC, after you see that the device is already set in download mode. The COM:PORT mapping will show you a yellow indication if the device is already detected. .
- Once all set perfectly, then hit the "START" button to begin flashing the firmware.
Once successfully completes, the phone will then reboot, you may then remove it from the computer.
You may also do factory reset to get feasher firmware installation and get rid of any issues like bootloops and lag problems. To do this just boot te phone in recovery mode:
Press and Hold Menu key + power then select wipe data reset and wipe cache partition..
You may then change the default language according to your locale or region..
You also need to re-configure the APN settings if having data connectivity issues.
You can also confirm the newly installed firmware version name etc by typing *#1234# or through About Phone Info Settings. That's it...

ReplyDeletenfs shift is not working on gingerbread 2.3.4 but i found out that other games like pes 2011 ( having game data 100 mb) is running fine.. and also other games previously running on froyo like angry birds, t20 fever cricket are running gr8.

Changes have been made to the user interface like battery icon which looks cool as compared to the pathetic previous one. Music player has also been improved. u will not loose any feature present in the froyo its just added features will be there.

then load on the one packaged field in odin.
If it comes in multiple files, then load the binary files on each fiels, OPS, BOOT, PHONE, PDA and CSC.

@Marylex, Yes the default firmware for South East Asian Regions like Vietnam,Malaysia,Indonesia,Singapore, Thailand and Philippines started with DX or DD, all firmware started with letter Z has a Chinese default language which build for Chinese version only but can also be used for SE regions. All Europe firmware versions can be flash also at any regions version of mini if you'll prepare an English or any European language because the only Asian language available on it - is Korean, which is the brand creator.

I was installing jelly bean 4.1 in my s5570 it complete and i reboot my s5570 but it didn't reboot then i did press power button but it is not starting and also not star in recovery,download mode so what should i do please help for that i am flashing with odin but it say fail
