ReplyDeletehi there sir leogg if you can't update by Kies with your current firmware, you may need to roll back or install the previous version of your device firmware using ODIN. like for example if you have a 2.2 froyo before, you may need to find it (i.e. S5830XWKB7 with multi CSC and install it again.. Other users doesn't rely on kies if they can't update through by it then mostly they use ODIN instead of KIES. It's still the same process of updating,, KIES via online while ODIN via offline or manual flashing.

ReplyDeleteHi there tifaa, if its only a single file, you can flash it via odin in single package option. Follow this guide here with only single pack TAR.

Yes if you want to upgrade all data wiped out. Rooting is available for gingerbread a few months ago..

If you can still access your Ace into download mode, you can still recover your phone, the just install other ROM.
